Mygem 1gm Injection contains Gemcitabine which belongs to the group of medicines called Antimetabolites. Mygem 1gm Injection is used in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (alone or combined with cisplatin), pancreatic cancer, breast cancer (with paclitaxel), ovarian cancer (with carboplatin) and bladder cancer (with cisplatin).

Mygem 1gm Injection is given as an injection by a qualified medical professional. Your doctor will decide what dose is necessary and how often you need to take it. This will depend on what you are being treated for and may change from time to time. You should take it exactly as your doctor has advised.

Avoid drinking alcohol during Mygem 1gm Injection treatment as it can make you feel sleepy. Before receiving Mygem 1gm Injection , inform your doctor if you had or are going to have radiotherapy, have been vaccinated recently or if you have any liver, kidney or heart diseases.

Tell your physician if you are on a salt-controlled diet, as this medicine contains sodium. Report to your doctor immediately if you experience shortness of breath, wheezing, changes in color or volume of urine, bleeding, or upper abdominal pain while taking Cytogem1gm injection.

Before taking it,tell your doctor if you have heart disease, liver, or kidney problems or are taking any medicines to treat infections. Many other medicines can affect, or be affected by, this medicine so let your doctor know all medications you are using.

This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. The use of effective contraception by both males and females during treatment is important to avoid pregnancy.

DOSAGE OF MYGEM 1GM INJECTION
  • The dosage of Mygem 1gm depends on the condition being treated. For advanced non-small cell lung cancer, the recommended dosage is 1000 mg/m2 on days 1, 8 and 15 of each 28-day cycle; or 1250 mg/m2 on days 1 and 8 of each 21-day cycle.
  • For pancreatic carcinoma, the recommended dosage is 1000 mg/m2 once weekly for up to 7 weeks followed by 1 week of rest. Continue thereafter with once weekly infusions for 3 consecutive weeks out of 4.
  • It is advised not to miss any dose. If you missed any dose, you should contact your doctor immediately
